Building on our current TEI handover model, we are developing a comprehensive Master Trainer Development programme to create the highest level of training expertise in Cambodia’s teacher education system.

Programme Vision

Master Trainers will be able to:

  • Deliver the full range of TDSO programmes independently
  • Train other trainers to deliver programmes effectively
  • Adapt methodologies to new contexts whilst maintaining quality
  • Ensure quality across distributed training delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of training approaches

Planned Content Areas

The programme will provide advanced training in:

  • Advanced pedagogy: Deep understanding of learning theory and teaching methodology
  • Curriculum design: Creating and adapting training programmes
  • Assessment methods: Evaluating trainer and teacher competence
  • Coaching skills: Supporting other trainers’ development
  • Quality assurance: Maintaining standards across distributed delivery

Long-Term Investment

This represents our long-term investment in Cambodia’s teacher education system. Master Trainers will become the core faculty for Teacher Education Institutions, capable of sustaining and continuously improving the quality of teacher training without ongoing external support.

By creating capacity that will serve the country for decades, we move toward our ultimate goal: a self-sustaining system where Cambodian educators lead the continuous improvement of teaching quality nationwide.
