Effective teacher development requires more than training delivery. Our Supporting Programmes provide the infrastructure, services, and innovations that strengthen our core work and advance Cambodia’s education sector.

Practice School

Our Practice School in Siem Reap serves three interconnected functions: a development laboratory where we test and refine approaches before scaling nationally, a demonstration site where education officials and partners observe TPA methodology in action, and a training resource where programme participants observe effective practice in authentic Cambodian classroom conditions. Lessons learned here feed directly into programme development, keeping our methodology grounded in practical reality.

Model School Support

Helping schools meet MoEYS Model School pedagogical standards

The Model School programme is a MoEYS initiative launched in 2023 to strengthen public education quality across Cambodia. Schools achieving Model School status must meet five national standards covering student outcomes, teaching and learning, community involvement, school administration, and accountability. As of 2025, 144 schools nationwide have achieved this recognition.

TDSO helps schools meet the pedagogical requirements of the Model School standards, particularly in teaching and learning quality and school accountability. Through systematic implementation of our TPA methodology, intensive coaching of teaching staff, and sustained professional development support, we build the classroom practice quality that Model School certification requires.

Schools working with TDSO toward Model School status become reference points where other educators can observe effective pedagogy in action and understand how quality professional development translates into improved teaching practice.

Expert Services

Curriculum development, assessment design, research, evaluation, and policy advisory

Drawing on over a decade of experience in Cambodian teacher education, we provide specialist services to institutions, government bodies, and development partners. Our work includes curriculum development, assessment design, applied research and evaluation, policy advisory, and customised training of trainers. All engagements emphasise knowledge transfer, building client capacity rather than creating dependency.
